Elo’
My name’s Luke John Matthew Arnold. Artist, illustrator and author living in rural NSW on Walbanga Country.
I love: drawing, silversmithing, bushwalking, animals, my dog/daughter Berry, horror movies, murder podcasts, cheese and handsome fellas.
I dislike: when salami is wrapped in a really thin layer of plastic and you only realise this fact half way through the devilish deli delight.
Over the past five-ish years I have had the joy, honour and fun of collaborating with heaps of awesome brands and getting the opportunity to see my illustrations turn into wonderful and weird creations – from clothing, cushions, wine labels, jewellery and lube bottles.
More recently I have landed in the world of books, with my first cheeky, sweary, quasi-self-help book ‘Nobody Really Has Their Shit Together’ being published by Hardie Grant.
Even more recently I have landed in the world of children’s books, with my nature focused picture book ‘Save The Gumtrees, Bees and Big Blue Seas’ being published by Scholastic and currently shortlisted for the ‘Award for New Illustrator’ by The Children’s Book Council of Australia. I find out if I win in August, so cross your fingers and other flexible bits for me please!
If you wish to get in touch to know more about me (doubtful, but if so… Bring vino) or if you’re considering working together on a fun project, get in touch here.
Big love,
Luke.
